Calls to Worship:

(Note: Choose ONE per office.)



Call: Clap your hands, all you peoples; shout to God with loud songs of joy.
Response: For the LORD, the Most High, is awesome, a great king over all the earth.
Call: God has gone up with a shout, the LORD with the sound of a trumpet.
Response: Sing praises to God, sing praises; sing praises to our King, sing praise.

Everyone:
Come among us, living Lord, we come to hear your living Word. We meet together
in the name of Christ to share your mission and your sacrifice; to receive the power
that only you can give, that we might life! Come fill this time of prayer.

Everyone: Let the beauty of the Lord our God be upon us. Establish Thou the work of our hands;
establish Thou the work of our hands.

Call: Let us worship God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ.
Response: We are new creations; the old has gone, the new has come!
Call: Let us worship God as Christ’s ambassadors.
Response: Through us and through our worship may we announce the good news to all.
Call: Let us worship God in spirit and in truth.
Response: praise God! We are reconciled, redeemed, renewed!

Call: Lord, God, we have come to worship you as sinners in need of your forgiveness.
Response: We come tired from your work, in need of refreshment and re-creation.
Call: We come with worries, in need of your guidance.
Response: But first, please lift us out of our preoccupation with our own needs.
Call: Allow us to see you with the eyes of faith, and to hear with the ears of understanding what you say to us.
Response: Make us thankful for all the good we have received from you.
Call: Awaken in us a longing to do what is right.
Response: And make us aware of the great company, past present and to come with whom we join to worship you.

to knock that the door of you mercy may be opened to us.

Everyone: One thing I have asked of the Lord, this is what I seek: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life; to behold the beauty of the Lord
and to seek Him in Him temple.
